My passion is stone sculpture and the hand carving of ornate chimneypieces. A period of History that really interests me is the Tudor years of 1485-1603 and the Jacobean period of 1603-1625. During these 140 years the Stone fireplace evolved from a fire pit (A pile of logs burning in the middle of a room) to an integral structural form and focal point in a room.
